Sophie Louise Dempster (born: June 10, 2001 [age 21]), better known as ParaReact, is a Scottish YouTube reactor and photographer. She uploaded mainly reaction videos but sometimes uploaded other types of videos. She used to have a main channel from 2014-2016 but the channel "ParaReact" is her new main channel since February 2016, on which she uploaded her first video on March 1, 2016.

Basic Information
Sophie was born in and raised in Ellon, Scotland. She still resides there with her parents, two younger siblings, and her dog Poppy.
In several videos and on her website she has mentioned and talked about stuff from her personal life. She has said that she suffers from dyslexia, chronic stress, anxiety, social anxiety, and depression.
She was born deaf but was able to gain her hearing after a short amount of time, had speech problems growing up, and was heavily bullied in school.
She has stated that she wanted to build a career in either Film Editing or Directing and has also thought of becoming a Paranormal Investigator/Researcher. On Instagram she revealed a passion for art, saying she always wanted to be an art teacher.
She graduated from college in June of 2019.

Political Ideology
In the past Sophie leaned toward the left side of the political spectrum. She despised Donald Trump calling him a racist pig in one of her tweets. In her 30k subscriber special she revealed that her views have changed and that she is more apolitical, stating that she did not like politics and had a lack of knowledge of the subject. She also stated that she was more political at 16 then she is now.
Tattoos
Two weeks after turning 18 Sophie got two tattoos at Draconian Tattoo & Body Piercing Studio. One her right forearm and another on her left wrist. On May 6, 2020 she did a live stream titled “30k Subscriber Special | LIVESTREAM” in the video she explained the reasoning behind her tattoos. The tattoo on her right forearm was because when she was still in school, she liked to draw that design on herself. She also states that drawing helped her be happy at school. The tattoo on her left wrist, which looks like a semicolon, is the symbol for mental health.

Sophie always wanted to be in the Media industry since starting academy but later in her academic years, but she didn't have the right qualifications to study in Media. Instead, she decided to do something else but still relating to Art, which she really enjoyed at school.
When Sophie left school, she went to college to study Photography from September 2018, a week after she left and graduated academy, but she finished college within less of a year in late April of 2019 and fully graduated in summer of June.
Driver's Education
On September 9, 2019 Sophie passed her road test after failing multiple times. Despite passing the driving test Sophie later admitted in a video titled UK Dash Cams Compilation 2019 Reaction that she hasn't driven since passing the exam. She also stated that her parents auto insurance has increased and that she is currently saving for a car.
Family
Sophie has a mother, Caroline Dempster and father, Kevin Dempster. She also has a brother and sister both younger than her. Ryan Dempster, the middle child and Rebecca Dempster, the youngest. Her family is well known for interrupting her videos. During her 20k subscriber special her sister walked in and gave her popcorn which she used for the thumbnail. On March 26, 2020 She uploaded her first blooper video titled BLOOPER! where her one of her family members walks in. During the video she gets angry and calls them nosy.

Poppy
On July 27, 2016 Sophie’s family adopted poppy. Poppy was born on May 16, 2016 and is a female King Charles Spaniel. Sophie featured her on her main channel called Everyday life of Poppy and on her second channel, now deleted.

YouTube Career
Basic Information
Before she created the channel ParaReact, Sophie ran the channel Sophie Dempster, which was created on January 3, 2014. On it, she uploaded a variety of content such as skits, vlogs, challenges, random videos, montages, and had her own series called Paranormal Wednesdays. This is also where she uploaded her first reaction videos. She also ran a channel called Miss Anickia, but rarely uploaded to it. On February 26, 2016, she created ParaReact and uploaded her first video there on March 1st. She continued to upload on Sophie Dempster until July 19, 2016, when she switched entirely over to ParaReact.
On ParaReact the majority of videos have been reaction videos, but Sophie has uploaded other content. An example is the "Everyday life of Poppy" series. She has reacted to a large amount of content. She uploaded almost daily but starting in late 2018 had switched to a more weekly and somewhat random schedule. This led to long gaps in-between uploads. In 2020 she went back to a daily schedule. She has also made specific videos for subscriber milestones such as Q&A's for 10k, 20k, a special for 30k, and a competition for 16k.
On September 10, 2017, Sophie uploaded an update video stating that due to copyright issues she would need to delete many videos, this resulted in a massive amount of videos from 2016 being deleted.
On January 13, 2018, Sophie created the channel "Para2". This channel was created as a backup channel for ParaReact, but several months later Para2 was renamed to "PoppyDog". It was then themed around her dog Poppy and had 5 videos. Para2 was deleted in January 2020.
On November 29, 2018, Sophie announced a hiatus from YouTube because of personal issues. It lasted from November 30, 2018 to January 27, 2019.
On June 23, 2020 She created the channel ParaTwo where she uploads gaming videos and vlogs.
Hiatuses
First Hiatus
Throughout the latter half of 2018 Sophie hadn't been uploading as much as usual and on November 3, 2018 made a video explaining why. On November 15th, 2018 she posted a picture on Instagram with the hashtag #depressioniskillingme. In the photo she appears tired and may have been crying. On November 29, 2018 she uploaded another video about the subject. In the video she stated that she wasn't sure when she can make videos again due to being hit hard by personal issues. She said things had gotten much worse and feels lost but that at some point she would come back. She did not upload any videos from November 30, 2018 to January 6, 2019.
On January 6, 2019 Sophie uploaded another video and later On January 27, 2019 three reaction videos, ending the hiatus.
Second Hiatus
Despite having come back from her hiatus Sophie continued to upload less frequently. She would have another hiatus which lasted from June 12, 2019 to August 30, 2019. For several months after that videos remained infrequent with month-long gaps in between uploads.
Her Return
In early 2020 Sophie began to upload more often. On March 26, 2020 Sophie uploaded a video titled Best Memes Compilation V72 Reaction and from then on, she began to upload frequently once again. She currently uploads one to two videos daily.
Rumors
Rumors have spread that Sophie's nudes are on the Deep Web along with several other Youtubers. It's theorized that she found out about the leaks mid-2018 and that this is the real reason for her hiatuses .Some users even commented on her videos claiming to have seen the nudes and that they were part of a candid/hidden camera fetish although a lot of these videos which had the comments were later deleted. This isn't the first time the subject of nudes has come up as back in 2016 Sophie's Twitter and Facebook accounts were hacked and the hacker threatened to leak her nudes to her friends and followers. Sophie stated that the nudes weren't real and that her head had been photoshopped onto nudes of other women.
This also isn't the first time comments like these have been posted as throughout her Youtube carreer several people have posted sexual comments, trying to hit on her or just comment sexual things about her. It is yet to be proven if leaked nudes were the reason for Sophie's hiatuses as aside from the comments there is no real evidence to support the theory. Sophie herself has never stated the exact reason for her hiatuses other then personal issues and feeling lost, but due to her history with depression it is likely she was going through a rough patch and needed some breaks to recover and focus on her mental health.
Deleted Videos
Earlier in 2020 ParaReact had well over 700 videos on her channel. As of May 2020 her video count is below 670. Many believe this was because of copyright or COPPA. On April 15, 2020 she made a video titled CHANNEL UPDATE explaining that she would start uploading copyrighted videos to her Patreon so her fans could watch them there. Although as of June 2, 2020 she has yet to upload any videos to her Patreon despite many of her videos being deleted. During her 30K subscriber special she revealed that she had a strike on her channel from a video that was marked for an 18+ audience. She stated that due to this she cannot appeal the strike. Lately some users have commented on her videos sugesting that she should make an OnlyFans account for a reliable source of income. Age Restricted Reactions
In mid 2020 more of her reactions became age restricted, requested by her and not Youtube.
Goodbye
On January 19th, 2021 Sophie uploaded a video titled Goodbye. She claimed that she was taking a break from youtube.
Broken Laptop
On November 18th, 2021 Sophie posted to instagram that her laptop broke and that she was unable to upload new reaction videos to her main channel.
Channel Termination
On March 29th, 2022 Sophie's main channel is deleted for receiving three strikes for violating YouTube's terms of service. On March 31st, 2022 Sophie uploaded a video on her second channel ParaTwo titled This is what happened... In this video she explains the details on why her channel was deleted.

She despises her brother.
She says she gets scared easily.
She loves animals except for some such as snakes, which she has mentioned being afraid of.

Before she created a Youtube channel she created smule account , where she sang karaoke.
Her favorite color is red.
In one video Sophie said that one time when she was little, she refused to sleep in her room because her dad had painted the walls pink instead of red. She waited until he repainted the walls and then returned to sleeping there.

She may have had encounters with the Paranormal.
She once used an Ouija board and claimed to have gotten scratches, as stated in her 20k Q&A video.
In one video on her old channel she claimed to have heard banging noises every 5 minutes from her closet.
In other videos she has mentioned getting creepy vibes from her old room.
Her channel name ParaReact is short for Paranormal Reaction.
Her original most viewed video was a Mortal Kombat X reaction which gained over one million views. However for unknown reasons she decided to delete it.
In the past she loved ghost adventures especially Zak Bagans.
She loved Zak so much that she wrote a fan-fiction about him.
She once had a short rivalry with a YouTuber known as Origami
In late 2016 Origami made a video ranting about Sophie's videos. At the time she was going through personal issues and after reacting to the video got angry.
This led to her fans attacking Origami and he later uploaded an apology video.
Earlier in 2020 Origami made another video apologizing claiming he was in a dark place at the time, though he did not actually mention her name. Sophie then made video forgiving him and told her fans not to attack him. Her video has since been deleted.
